About... The polish squad is an on growing Trackmania team created on January 22, 2024 composed of 40 polish players created by “Andre”. We worked together to create their new skin which will be used in a showcase video.
A long skinning project with very good visuals at the end. The client started to contact me on Behance after clarifying his order we mooved to Discord to begin the comission for real and have quicker answers.
With all the restrictions and demands of the client I made a first 2D mock-up of my idea for the car. After some adjustements the global idea was validated and I was able to moove to the actual car conception. The first version was done. Now the car is a real 3D model usable in-game. After showing it to my contact in the team we decided to change some parts.
The eagle on back spoiler was breaking our design. They decided to replace it with a sentence “POLSKA GUROM” which is a famous sentence of Mariusz Pudzianowski. After the little fix the car was now done. The next step was to create color variations. To create a variety for the 40 members to choose from.
For each player they chose the color variation they like the most. Then I made for each of them a custom car with their player tag and a number. Now all the cars were done it was time to initiate the second part of the project, the showcase video.
To make the video I use the game’s in game replay editor to take views. Then, with all these short views I make the editing on Sony Vegas Pro. The overall process took couple hours. At the end, the video was uploaded to my personal channel The first step... A FIRST ATTEMPT THE FINISHED PRODUCT THE NEXT CHALLENGE This skinning project was a lot of fun to work on.
